Preserving and Emulating That ’90s Look

The MetaFilter thread about Archive Team’s Under Construction exhibit includes a mention of this striking example of Web Design That Time Forgot:

It’s so clearly homemade, and devoid of fashion-consciousness, that it almost becomes strangely charming. morcs then pointed out the interesting use of retro-influenced web design by BE Broadband:

You have to admire their commitment and lack of clichéd imagery, but I think they could’ve played on the stark retro thing in a more attractive, effective way.
