Mid-April Link Dump
Your business card is CRAP!- Amusingly Batemanesque.
- Inside the precision hack
- Coding a poll feature is really easy. Adding measures to minimise abuse is hard work (although the Time.com developers seem to have struggled with even the basics).
- ScaryGirl
- I’m not sure the gameplay lives up to the vast amount of great illustration/animation work, but it’s definitely worth a play.
- 5K Twitter Biorhythm Bot: Byobot
- How about a BMIbot that receives height and weight, then responds with BMI and a description of how over/underweight you are?
- Classic Arcade Sounds
- Useful reference material for a faux-retro game I’ll soon be working on.
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Dolphin the Wii Emulator (720p HD)
- Make sure you click the HD button. It would be nice to think that Nintendo is already lining up a console that’ll deliver this kind of improved rendering for existing games, but in reality they’ll probably lazily milk the Wii’s success for a few more years until their user base dwindles back to being mostly younger kids (me, cynical?).
- Using the AS3 Jpeg Encoder
- Handy for Flash drawing/avatar-creation tools.
The question of Skeletor’s head- I love Wikipedia.
- The Website Is Down: Excel Hell
- Yeah, it treads a well-worn path littered with easy targets, but the attention to detail is fantastic and anyone who’s worked in anything IT-related will be nodding in recognition.
- The Vintage Web
- A site design I did in 1998 is still live and almost unchanged (no, I’m not going to link to it).
- Telegram Stop
- Nicely done, and the price isn’t too bad.
